Quand John Waite rejoint le groupe rock Bad English, formé à la fin des années 80, il compte déjà un énorme succès personnel et sa voix est déjà connue aux quatre coins de la planète avec l’incontournable Missing you, titre avec lequel il avait atteint la première place dans la vente de disques aux United States.

Pour le premier album du groupe de Bad English, la reine de la ballade, Diane Warren, a sorti de sa plume le magnifique When I see you smile, un titre qui depuis lors fait partie intégrante de chaque concert du groupe Bad English ou de n’importe quelle rétrospective discographique du groupe américain né en 1989.  Il n’est pas rare de voir également ce titre enrichir les compilations Love songs que l’industrie du disque nous sort régulièrement.

Un titre à écouter sans modération… Of course.
